Suzuki's A2 license ready GSX250R will be coming to dealers with a RRP of £4,299.
The 248cc parallel-twin engine has been designed with low and midrange power in mind, to give it a punchy and versatile character.
Bore, stroke and compression ratio are the same as the GW250’s engine, but Suzuki have upped power and torque slightly to 24.7 hp at 8000 rpm and torque: 17.3 lb-ft. at 6500 rpm.
The GSX250R weighs in at around 177kg, about 5kg less than the GW250. Suspension is handled by a 37mm KYB telescopic fork and adjustable rear shock, while braking is provided by a two-piston Nissin caliper gripping a single 290mm disc up front and a single-piston caliper with 240mm disc at the rear.
The styling is definitely baby GSX-R, to give it sporty credentials. Other features include an LCD multi-function display, 31.1-inch seat height.
Available in black, Suzuki has also announced a version dressed in Suzuki’s eye-catching MotoGP livery, which will retail for £4,399 when units arrive in authorised Suzuki dealerships in April.
